Welcome to The Deven Times!

The Deven Times came about when I worked at a veterinarian’s office.  Anytime something happened around the clinic that I wanted to tell my friend, who worked the morning shift, I would write about the situation as if it were a newspaper article.  I would then leave her a note titled “The Deven Times”.  She enjoyed them so much that, even after I changed jobs, I continued to e-mail Deven Times articles about things happening in my life.  Therefore, I can think of no better title for my blog than “The Deven Times”.

In continuing with the newspaper theme, I have divided my blog up into different categories.  I know most people say to find a niche and focus on that one thing but I do not like the idea of being tied to one topic.  My blog is, therefore, divided into multiple categories.  This way I can write about whatever I want but you can choose to only read about what interests you.  It’s kind of like skipping to the sports section of the newspaper and leaving the rest…yep, watched my dad do that plenty of times.

The Deven Times sections are…

Kight Tails – The most adorable section of the blog.  This will be all about my pets and anything animal related.

Travel – Whenever I venture away from home, this will be the section to read all about it.

Cosplur – A word I came up with by combining Cosplay and PLUR.  I had a friend suggest that I pursue cosplay but to not use my real name.  I also love the PLUR attitude that I discovered at my first EDM festival.  PLUR is peace, love, unity, respect.  So I combined the two to be my alias.  I plan to develop this brand further with potential events and contests.  This section will chronicle all of it.

Entertainment – I love to attend concerts and paranormal events.  If it is entertainment related, this section is where you will find it.

Potpourri – Well I had to have a section for anything that doesn’t fall into the other categories, right?  Haha…my brain can be random sometimes.
